Fixing Emails Not Received From GMMC
If you are not receiving the emails that we send out for the men’s club, there are several things that can be causing it.
1. Go into the GHIN app, click on the three dots on the bottom right of the home page where it says “More”. Select “My Profile”. Frome there you can check, correct or change your email address, mailing address and phone number.
2. Make sure that these emails are not going to your SPAM or junk email folder. The best way to insure that doesn’t happen is to go to an email from me or the course, it probably is from an address like this “ ##### noreply@golfgenius.com, and right click on it and add the domain to your safe sender list.
3. If you intentionally or accidently click on the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any email from Gold Mountain, whether one from myself or anyone else in regards to the men’s club or it’s one from the course itself, then you will no longer receive any of these emails and miss out on any updates or notices of what the men’s club is up to for the year. The link looks like this “Sent by Gold Mountain Golf Club. Unsubscribe”. The only way to have your access returned is to email me and I can go into Golf Genius and send you an email inviting you to resubscribe. If you are reading this in an email then you have not clicked on “Unsubscribe” as of now.
4. Another way that you may not receive our emails is that your email provider may automatically block mass produced emails and so when we send out an email using Golf Genius, they can be automatically blocked by a carrier’s server. For example the last email that I sent out, which had 1093 recipients, 16 of them “bounced” from their email providers. Currently the only way for me to fix it is to go into Golf Genius, pull up the error list, and one at a time copy the bounced email address, go to another screen and then submit it to be removed from the suppression list. This works about 75% of the time, but takes about 30 to 45 minutes to do 20 or so email addresses.
