Announcements

13 Jan 2025

Your 2024 men’s club membership expired December 31st, 2024. If you did not get around to renewing yet don’t worry, your past information is saved in GHIN, just be sure to reference your current GHIN number when you renew if you renew online.

On January 1st, everyone’s account that had not yet renewed were inactivated, but again this is not a big deal unless you need to post scores from rounds played down south or you need to verify your index for a winter tournament.

We again are not raising the membership dues this year, so it will still be just $60, the best deal in the state I bet. Also, last year Wa Golf dropped their $5 handling fee if you renew online, so even renewing online will only be $60.

Those of you that are on auto-renew should now be active for 2025 as well as all that have since renewed online or have submitted the 2025 form to the pro shop in person or by mail. You can easily check to see if you have renewed yet by opening up the GHIN app and if you can see your handicap index, then your account is active for 2025. If it says NH for no handicap, then your account has not been renewed for 2025.

The exception to this is if you are establishing your handicap for the first time, then even if your account is active, it will show NH until you have posted a total 54 holes of golf, either by 9-hole scores or 18-hole scores. If your account is inactive, you will not be able to post scores.

To renew if you are not on auto-renew, you have several options. You can drop off or mail the attached form along with $60 cash or check. To renew online, just click on this link Registration , make sure that you click on renew and enter your existing GHIN number

I check the pro shop every 1 to 3 days for new forms, if you have a renewal that is urgent do not hesitate to send me an email.

The advantage of renewing online is that you can use a credit card to renew, which is not an option by mail or in person in the pro shop, and your account is instantly activated.

Let me know of you have any questions,

Good morning,

If you did not use your men’s club free round this spring, it will be available starting tomorrow, October 1st. You can use it any day of the week on either course, any time. The only exception is it’s not available for some tournaments, check with the pro shop. It must be used no later than December 31st, and can not be carried over into next year for any reason.

I will have the free round tracking sheet in the pro shop later today, it is marked up with those that used their round this spring. You also have the option to use your free round to treat a friend to golf if you prefer, you just must be present with them at check in. This is a nice perk for those that pay for annual golf or are employed at Gold Mountain.

Gold Mountain will be punching and sanding the Olympic Course tomorrow, Tuesday October 1st, and the Cascade Course Wednesday October 2nd. Some preliminary punching will begin this morning, but no sanding.

The last day to post scores for rounds played in the PNW is November 14th, and then posting will begin again next year on March 1st.

Now that the planned men’s club events are done for the year, there are a few other events coming up that are worth checking out.

Lane Ormerod is leading a dinner dance at Gold Mountain on October 26, 2024 for the golf leagues, and has invited the men’s club members to join them for a fun evening of food and live music. See the attached flyer or this link for more information www.dinner-dance.org , he can be reached at dinnerdanceatgm@gmail.com .

Also board member and tournament chairman Chris Keough is hosting the 9th annual Red, White & Blue tournament held at Gold Mountain. The four-person scramble is on November 10th at 10am. The tournament is a fundraiser for the VFW Unmet Needs program. They have produced the largest single donation each year for this special program for years and want that tradition to continue.

Easiest way to register is on the Gold Mountain website Register here , or email Chris at chriskeough@windermere.com .  A worthy cause and a fun event, you can also register in the golf shop.

As always if you have any questions or need a score corrected, email me at sdecoy@wavecable.com .
